November till April the flock departs daily from the cage. |

The legend of Ellert and Brammert is an old robber history, that was written in 1660.
Originally, the story is about two robber barons who were operating around 1400 in Drenthe. They lived in a remote moor and robbed travellers.
In the popular imagination, the robbers were gradually identified with the dolmen gigants, who would have caused the hills and the valleys in the landscape.
